About
About Organic Babee
An independent guide to certified organic products for babies, families and the home. We read the label, check the certification, and tell you what it covers.
What this site is for
The word organic is printed on formula, crib mattresses, shampoo, dog food and potting soil, and it means something different on each of them. On food it is a legal term with a federal seal behind it. On a bottle of lotion it may mean very little.
Organic Babee exists to close that gap. For every kind of product we explain what organic can mean, name the certification worth looking for, and list products that carry it. We started with babies, because that is where parents ask the question most urgently, and kept going through the rest of the house.
How we work
We do not test products. We check each one against the brand's own page and the certifier's public records, and we say what the certification does and does not cover. The whole method is on the how we choose page.
The labels section explains each seal on its own page, and the guides cover the questions that do not fit on a product page.
Who pays for it
Organic Babee is an independent publication. It is not owned by a brand, a retailer or a certifier. It earns money from affiliate links: when a reader buys through one, the seller may pay us a commission. The affiliate disclosure explains how that works and what it does not influence.
What we are not
We are not doctors, dietitians or product testers, and nothing here is medical advice. Decisions about infant formula, supplements, pregnancy and your child's health belong with your pediatrician, doctor or midwife.
